How it works
The V-Card (Virtual Card) feature allows creating and managing digital business cards with customizable sections. It works as follows:
-
Onboarding: When first accessing the vCard feature, users see an onboarding screen where they can:
- Enter a name for the vCard
- Set a unique slug (URL identifier) that cannot be changed later
- Choose from 3 templates: Classic, Modern, or Minimal
- Add an optional description
-
Dashboard Tabs: Once created, the vCard dashboard has 6 main tabs:
- Settings: Basic vCard information, logo upload, QR code generation
- Sections: Manage custom sections (contact info, services, social links, etc.)
- Appearance: Customize colors, fonts, and visual styling
- SEO: Configure meta tags, Open Graph, and search engine optimization
- Links: Create and manage tracking links for analytics
- Analytics: View visit statistics, sources, and session details
-
Section Management:
- Create custom sections with different types (contact, services, social media, etc.)
- Reorder sections to control display order
- Each section can have custom content, visibility settings, and styling
-
Appearance Customization:
- Upload logo and background images
- Choose color schemes
- Customize template-specific styling
- Preview changes in real-time
-
Public Access:
- Each vCard has a public URL based on its slug
- QR codes can be generated for easy sharing
- The public vCard is displayed via the
vcard-webapplication
-
Tracking & Analytics:
- Create tracking links to measure traffic sources
- View detailed analytics including visits, sources, and session information
- Filter analytics by time range, source type, and tracking link
The vCard is published to a public-facing website where visitors can view the business card information, contact details, and services.

- Logo: Upload and crop logo image (supports WebP format)
- Background Image: Upload and manage background images

- SEO: Meta tags, Open Graph tags, and search engine settings
- Tracking Links: Create UTM-tagged links for analytics
Permissions
- Workspace Owner: Full access to create, edit, and manage vCard
- Staff Members: Access depends on workspace permissions; typically can view and edit vCard settings
- Public: Anyone with the vCard URL can view the public-facing card (no login required)
Use Cases
- Digital Business Card: Create a professional digital business card to share with clients and contacts
- Service Showcase: Display services, contact information, and social media links in one place
- QR Code Sharing: Generate QR codes for easy sharing at events, on business cards, or in marketing materials
- Marketing Analytics: Track which sources drive the most traffic to your vCard using tracking links
- Brand Presence: Maintain a consistent online presence with customizable branding and styling
Notes / Limits
- The vCard slug cannot be changed after creation; choose carefully during onboarding
- Each workspace can have one vCard
- vCard sections can be reordered but cannot be archived (must be deleted)
- Logo and background images are uploaded to cloud storage
- QR codes are generated dynamically and can be downloaded
- Tracking links are scoped to the vCard and can be filtered in analytics
- The public vCard is served from a separate
vcard-webapplication - SEO settings affect how the vCard appears in search engines and social media shares
- Analytics data is aggregated and may have slight delays for real-time accuracy
